Indonesia mulls over purchasing armored vehicles from France

JAKARTA, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian military is planning to purchase armored vehicles from the French Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to support the planned peace-keeping operation in Lebanon, the national Antara news agency reported Wednesday.

The Defense Ministry officials will leave for France on Sept. 5 to explore the possibility of purchasing 32 armored vehicles to be delivered to Lebanon before the Indonesian peace-keeping troops from Indonesia arrive there, Antara said.
