Committee on national education set up in Singapore

SINGAPORE, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- Singapore on Thursday announced the establishment of a committee to improve its national education.

Speaking at a national education forum here on Thursday, Singapore's Education Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam said that the committee will consult teachers, students and parents on issues like how to give schools more freedom to run their national education programs.
