Profile: Mwanawasa reelected Zambian president

LUSAKA, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Zambian Chief Justice Ernest Sakala declared here Monday that Levy Mwanawasa, who collected 43 percent of the valid votes cast in the country's 150 constituencies last week, was re-elected Zambia's president.

The inauguration ceremony would be held in Lusaka at noon (10: 00 GMT) Tuesday.
