Two Canadian soldiers killed in southern Afghanistan

OTTAWA, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Two Canadian soldiers were killed Monday following a suicide car-bomber's attack on a military convoy in southern Afghanistan, Canadian media reported.

The two soldiers were in a Bison, an eight-wheeled armored personnel carrier, when a civilian vehicle drove alongside and detonated explosives on the outskirts of Kandahar.

"I have to announce that two Canadian soldiers were killed just outside Kandahar City," said the Commander of Canadian Forces in Southern Afghanistan Brig.-Gen. Tim Grant on Monday.
