China's LCD TV output up 124 pct in first 10 months
BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- China produced 7.12 million liquid
crystal display televisions (LCD TVs) in the first ten months, up 124
percent from the same period of last year, according to statistics
released by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) Tuesday.
The output of LCD TVs during the January-October period accounted
for 9.7 percent of the total output of color TVs, up 5.3 percentage
points from a year ago.
The statistics also show that the output of rear projection TVs
(RPTVs) rose 31 percent in the first ten months while the output of
