Mauritanian military leader reaffirms commitment to relinquish power

DAKAR, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Mauritanian military leader Colonel Ely Ould Mohamed Vall on Tuesday reaffirmed his commitment to relinquish power at the end of the transitional phase started on Aug. 3, 2005, according to reports reaching here.
