Zambia's AIDS council to carry out study on male circumcision

LUSAKA, March 2 (Xinhua) -- The National AIDS Council (NAC) of Zambia is studying whether male circumcision could reduce the risk of contracting HIV virus in a bid to seek a supplementary way of curbing the rampant disease, local media reported Friday.

NAC executive director Ben Chirwa was cited by Zambia Daily Mail as saying his council was reviewing all the information regarding male circumcision.
