Kenya Airways joins alliance of top world's airlines

NAIROBI, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Kenya's national carrier, Kenya Airways, on Friday signed an agreement to join SkyTeam, a global alliance partnering ten top airlines.

Kenya Airways, which joined the SkyTeam along with Air Europa and Cope Airlines, has now been recognized as official Associate Airline status.

Speaking in Nairobi, officials said the agreement is a formal step in the alliance's Associate process and outline the carriers' commitment to meet the standards to be recognized as official Associate Airlines.
