Nigerian government calls on youths in Niger Delta region to stop hostage taking

LAGOS, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Nigerian Minister of Youth Development, Salome Jankada, has appealed to youths in the Niger Delta to stop hostage taking, claiming that it is giving the nation a bad image.

The minister made the appeal in Abuja, capital of Nigeria, over the weekend, when she received members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in her office.
