Russia, Arab League see talks as only way to solve Mideast conflicts

MOSCOW, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Russia and the Arab League see talks as the only way to resolve the conflict in the Middle East, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday.

Speaking after Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa, Lavrov said the two leaders called for an international conference on the Middle East and a similar forum on Iraq, the Itar-Tass news agency reported.
