Bodies buried in mass grave in Somali capital of Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, April 7 (Xinhua) -- At least 26 dead bodies were found in battle grounds of the Somali capital Mogadishu and buried in a mass grave by a joint Ceasefire Commission set up to oversee the implementation of the agreement that stopped four days of furious fighting in the city.

"The dead bodies are everywhere. Some have been eaten by dogs while others have rotted to the bones. This is something I have not seen since the Somali civil war started in 1991," said Dahir Ali, a young Red Crescent volunteer.
