Eurozone industrial new orders continues to drop in February

BRUSSELS, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Eurozone industrial new orders dropped for the second consecutive month in February, down by 0.7 percent from January, the European Union's statistics bureau Eurostat said on Tuesday.

Industrial new orders in the euro zone fell slightly by 0.1 percent in January after the orders were on increase for four months before this year.

On monthly basis, new orders for electrical and electronic equipment registered the largest decrease among different sectors, down by 3.6 percent in February. Transport equipment fell by 1.4 percent, while basic metals and fabricated metal products declined by 0.1 percent. ...
