Hong Kong's Far East opens another Dorsett brand hotel in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's Far East Consortium
International has opened its Dorsett brand hotel in Penang,
northwestern Malaysia, the local press reported Tuesday.
Far East took over the management contract from Sheraton effective
on April 1 but right now it has not yet bought the property in
Georgetown, capital of Penang state.
"We don't want to buy it yet. We want to analyze the (Penang)
market first. We will give it about a year before we consider buying
the property," Dorsett Penang Acting General Manager Hadi Yusuf told
the New Straits Times.
