Those who follow my weekly rants and raves know how really picky I
am when it comes to pizza. For several years I have been touting a
pizzeria in Sheboygan, Wis. -- Il Ritrovo -- as having the best pizza
this side of Naples, Italy. The pizza at Spacca Napoli is every bit
as good as the pizza at Il Ritrovo. Now I have two pizzerias where I
can get pizza as good as they make it in Naples.
The Spaccanapoli district of Naples is made up of a string of
narrow, winding streets loaded with little shops, trattorie and
pizzerie. The word that comes to mind when I think about this part of
Naples is "chaotic." Noisy, busy, bustling, but so vibrant that the
