Zambian government nods 2011 All-Africa Games

LUSAKA, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Zambian cabinet has given a green light on Zambia's decision to host the 2011 All-Africa Games in Lusaka, for which a staggering 446 billion kwacha (111.5 million U.S. dollars) will be spent, Zambian Times reported on Wednesday.

Sports Minister Gabriel Namulambe was quoted as saying that 206 billion kwacha (51.5 million dollars) of the total budget would be channeled towards infrastructure development while the rest would go into meeting administrative costs of the biennial games that are being hosted by Algeria next month.
