Cold weather continues to hit Zimbabwe

HARARE, July 3 (Xinhua) -- An unusual cold spell has hit Zimbabwe with all provinces recording temperatures below 18 degrees Celsius, according to The Chronicle on Tuesday.

In a statement on Monday, the Meteorological Services Department said the temperatures would continue plummeting as the week progresses with drizzle patches expected. The low temperatures are accompanied by wind.

During winter season, Zimbabwe normally records afternoon temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius.
