Two people killed as armed rival militias clash in eastern DRC KINSHASA, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Two armed rival factions belonging to Mai-Mai militias who operate in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)'s eastern region of North-Kivu, clashed over the weekend in the southern locality of Lubero, causing the deaths of two people and injuring four others seriously, according to reports.

The dead belong to commander Jackson's faction which is locked in a territorial control dispute with another faction operating in this area led by commander Lafontaine, sources said Monday.
