CPN-M motions being discussed in Nepali parliament

KATHMANDU, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Nepali parliament Tuesday discussed the motions tabled by the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (CPN-M) and amendment proposals to them at the special session.

More than 50 parliamentarians are due to speak in Tuesday's meeting. According to local leading media group's website eKantipur, if no agreement is found on the CPN-M motions by Tuesday evening, they could be put to the vote on Wednesday.

Even if the CPN-M motions are to be ratified, it will have no legal status without amending the Interim Constitution, promulgated on Jan. 15, through two-thirds majority of the House. Support of the
