Venezuelan students protest against constitutional amendments

CARACAS, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Thousands of students marched through the Venezuelan capital Caracas Thursday to protest against a referendum on constitutional amendments.

The students demanded a two-month delay for the Dec. 2 referendum, which will ask the public to give the government control of international reserves, establish a new distribution ofpolitical territory, eliminate decentralization and remove the limits on how many terms the president may serve.
