Article: Federal Bureau of Reclamation to host meetings in Fountain, Colorado Springs about SDS debate

The Federal Bureau of Reclamation will host public meetings in Fountain and Colorado Springs next week to solicit public input about the Southern Delivery System draft environmental impact statement

Planned for more than a decade, SDS would transport water from the Arkansas River to Colorado Springs, preferably via a pipeline from Pueblo Reservoir.

The environmental impact statement is characterized by Colorado Springs Utilities as a crucial and important milestone in the struggle to make the project a reality. The Colorado Springs meeting is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. April 9 at the Leon Young Service
