Article: Archbishop Williams picks leader ; Quincy administrator chosen as Catholic school's first president

BRAINTREE - A Quincy Public Schools administrator will become the first president of Archbishop Williams High School.

Carmen Mariano, 60, of Braintree, assistant superintendent in Quincy and a member of the Archbishop Williams board of trustees, will start in the new position Aug. 6, the school announced today.

The announcement comes three years after Archbishop Williams became independent, branching off from the Catholic Archdiocese of Boston.
