West Virginians anticipating the much-hyped Democratic primary
showdown between Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton shouldn't
hold their breath, says a respected Republican pundit and editor of
the Weekly Standard.
Bill Kristol, who's speaking at the University of Charleston next
week, said it's very likely that West Virginia's May 13 election
will mean nothing on the national scale, as he foresees Obama
widening his lead by then.
"It could be crucial," said Kristol, responding to why Clinton
and Obama made back-to-back appearances in West Virginia recently.
"But I don't want to depress the people in West Virginia. I'd bet on
Obama doing well enough to make it a foregone conclusion by ...
