Article: Truck rebuild is homage to wife: ; Vintage Ford will be painted white, pink as woman battles disease

Love stories sometimes can be found in the most unlikely spots. This one is unfolding in a detached garage on Woodland Avenue in South Charleston.

That's where Steve Glover is rebuilding a 1941 model Ford 1/2- ton pickup truck for his wife, Nan.

It's hard for him to talk about the project.

Five years ago, Nan developed breast cancer. She was in remission for five years, but by this past November, the cancer had returned - this time in other parts of her body.

She again is undergoing chemotherapy treatments at the David Lee Cancer Center at Charleston Area Medical Center's Memorial Hospital.
