A shop in the city's Princesshay centre will come under the
spotlight tonight when it is featured in an investigative TV
programme.
Bbc One's Inside Out South West has investigated claims by Neal's
Yard that homeopathic remedies it sells in its stores can help
prevent and treat serious fatal diseases such as malaria.
Experts in alternative medicine and homeopathy have hotly
disputed the claims, saying there is no scientific evidence that
they work, and they are putting travellers' lives at risk.
The show's presenter Janine Jansen was sold homeopathic remedies
by Neal's Yard's Exeter manager and was advised that she could use
them to help deal with malaria.
