The new chairman of the Devon branch of the National Association
of Estate Agents has said it is a time of great change for both the
property market and estate agents.
At the branch's AGM at the Devon Hotel in Exeter, Robert Drewe-
Williams said: "While the property market is undergoing a period of
adjustment, so is the estate agency profession.
"Last year saw the National Association of Estate Agents grow at
the fastest rate in its 30-year history, which proves that there is
a need for regulated agency in this country."
Mr Drewe-Williams called on the Government to introduce a minimum
standard of competence and licensing for estate agents, and added
