Somerset captain Justin Langer was back at the County Ground
yesterday morning for the pre-season press day, when he spoke of the
Cidermen's prospects for the coming season.
Somerset's season starts tomorrow Wednesday with a three-day
first class match against Cambridge UCCE at Fenners and Langer is
raring to go.
The 37-year-old veteran of 104 Test matches for his native
Australia, who last season led Somerset to a double promotion said:
"We have got a great squad containing several experienced
international players as well as four or five of the best young
cricketers in the country so I definitely think we have got a chance
of winning the County Championship for the first time.
