Chicago aldermen may have endeared themselves to animal lovers by
banning foie gras last week, but in New York, their counterparts are
getting a good laugh.
"I thought we were out of our minds, so I thank Chicago for what
they did because it makes our council look extra ordinary," said
Brooklyn Councilman Simcha Felder, who heads the New York City
Council's Consumer Affairs Committee, according to the New York Daily
News. "If anyone tried to do it here, I would bring chopped liver in
every day."
