St. Louis -- Worried about overworking left-handed relief
specialist Brian Shouse, the Milwaukee Brewers summoned lefty Mitch
Stetter from Class AAA Nashville after their game Thursday against
St. Louis.
To make room on the roster for Stetter, the Brewers returned
outfielder/infielder Hernan Iribarren to Nashville. Before being
sent out, Iribarren contributed to a huge three-run rally against
the Cardinals with an RBI triple.
" 'Shousie's' done a great job but he's been up three days in a
row," manager Ned Yost said. "We can't keep doing that. We'll bring
in Stetter to balance his load."
Stetter, one of the last pitchers cut in spring training, made
five scoreless appearances at Nashville, ...
