Software marketing specialist Smartfocus yesterday announced that profit before tax more than doubled to pounds1.7 million last year from pounds800,000 in 2006.

Contracts with new clients Estee Lauder, Next and Lego helped the Bristol-based firm's revenue increase 25 per cent to pounds11.5m from pounds9.2m the year before.

Smartfocus widened its reach with 17 new partners, making a total of 60 operating in 11 territories.

The marketeer moved into Singapore, India, Spain and Scandinavia for the first time last year.
