B ecause of grandchildren and general lack of space at home, the
vendor of the lovely Royal Worcester jug decorated with a gilded
lizard has decided to sell it, rather than risk it being broken by
young fingers. Just 6in (15cm) tall, the bowl is in the popular
basket weave design in blush creamware, and the handle, tied with
rope around the neck, is formed as a jointed twig and is quite
perfect, when advising interest of pounds200-pounds250 in Philip
Buddell, Ladock today.
A selection of rummers and port glasses from the 19th century
should attract pounds30-pounds40 and are always a good buy as
glassware never seems to make anything like its true value, though
