Rob Stock reports. - ------------------- -------------------- AN OFFER to buy the loan book of the troubled finance company Geneva, which would immediately release capital to debenture-holders, has been kept secret from investors and will not be put to the vote.

A formal approach was made around 10 days ago by a credible overseas finance company, the Sunday Star-Times understands, and offered an alternative to Geneva's proposed restructuring plan, or appointing receivers.
