BOSTON UNCOMMON / DESIGNING
It's clear that Frank Lloyd Wright was, well, right when he said
"Dining is and always
was a great artistic opportunity." Today, it's hard to find a hot
restaurant that isn't
set in a stunning space. From the fairy-tale feel of Sorellina,
with its subdued palette
punctuated by glowing votive candles and china depicting the
sparsest of trees, to the
mystical features at OM, where fantastical Buddhist art enlivens
otherwise sleek surroundings,
these spaces are models not just of food, but of high style. We
searched local
restaurants for accents and accessories we'd love to have in our
own homes. Our only
problem was whittling it down to these eight pieces.
