When L.D. of Arlington Heights requested papaya recipes for a
party with a tropical theme, she selected the perfect time: June is
National Papaya Month.
Fogo de Chao is best known for its 15 cuts of meat and ultra-
snazzy salad bar, but its signature dessert, Papaya Cream, also gains
"oohs" and "aahs."
The recipe is super simple: Combine a papaya (peeled, seeded and
cut up) and vanilla ice cream in a food processor for just a minute
or two, add Creme de Cassis liqueur and a mint leaf as a garnish, and
voila!
For two servings of equally quick papaya smoothies, combine 2 ripe
papayas (peeled, seeded and coarsely chopped), oe cup orange juice
and oe cup fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt in a ...
