China expert sees country's human rights progress from historic perspective

BEIJING, April 21 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese human rights expert Monday urged some critics to reject the Cold War mindset and recognize China's historic progress and achievements in human rights,

Li Junru, deputy director of the China Society for Human Rights Studies,said at the Beijing Human Rights Forum that the human rights of Chinese citizens were gradually being realized along with the course of safeguarding the nation's collective human rights.
