EDINBURGH skipper Ally Hogg claimed a missed chance by Dave Callam stopped Edinburgh gaining something positive from a comprehensive defeat to Cardiff in the Magner's Celtic League at Murrayfield last night.

After 51 minutes of the 20-0 defeat, Callam roared on to a pass from Phil Godman only to knock on over the Cardiff try-line, causing the scoreboard to remain at 15-0 in the visitors favour.

Hogg said: "Dave Callam should have scored a try. He just fumbled on the line.

"It would not have changed the game but would probably have made us a bit more competitive.

"We would have gone within two scores and they might have changed their game a little because ...
