A Collection of flowers for the military funeral of Trooper
Robert Pearson is being made.
Volunteers who sent aid parcels to the troops serving in
Afghanistan and Iraq have called on Grimsby Telegraph readers to pay
their respects by making donations to buy flowers for his funeral on
Thursday.
As reported, a cortege will leave Robert's father's home on
Manchester Street, Cleethorpes, at 9.30am on Thursday ahead of a
funeral service at St Mary's Church, Heneage Road, Grimsby.
Trooper Pearson was killed two weeks ago today when the personnel
carrier he was driving is believed to have been struck by a land
mine. Two others were injured.
