Unless you're Harrison Ford, it's tough to pull off charming and scruffy at the same time.

But Peyton Dixon, appearing as Nathan Detroit in the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre production of Guys and Dolls, seems to have it down. In fact, if not for his character's carelessness with women - as well as his penchants for gambling, cheating, lying and street hustling - he would seem to be exactly the kind of guy you would want to bring home to your parents on Thanksgiving.

Which, in a way, cuts right to the heart of what's so good about this production, as well as its most noticeable flaw.
