The iconic Hawker Hunter jet at the Humbrol site in east Hull is
moving to a new home.
The vandal-hit aircraft, which is mounted outside the closed
paint firm's huge Hedon Road factory, has been bought by the Fort
Paull attraction near Hedon.
Fort Paull events co-ordinator Phil Rochester said: "We are
delighted. We wanted to preserve what we thought was a local icon.
"We had shown our interest in it on several occasions.
"We'd had so many people calling up and asking 'Why don't you get
hold of it?'
"It's a local icon and has been there so long.
"It's going to be a permanent fixture at Fort Paull."
The jet will be installed alongside Fort Paull's Beverley
