Against a clear blue sky and the Spa Creek bustling with boat
traffic, Annapolis' famed City Dock was rededicated yesterday
afternoon, signaling an end to six months of work on the popular
site.
With a shout of "Oyez!" and the ringing of the bell from about a
dozen town criers from throughout North America, City Dock was
ceremonially opened to the public.
The ceremony helped kick off a busy weekend for one of Annapolis'
most popular tourist sites. There are two concurrent festivals this
weekend, the city's 8th annual Maritime Heritage Festival and The
Annapolis Alive! CharterFest celebration.
It's officially summertime in Annapolis.
