Mountain Lakes Amphitheater has launched its third season with a
line-up that includes nationally known performers and opportunities
for area musicians to compete for cash.
"We try to get a variety of artists," said Janet Gibson, director
of the amphitheater located off the Flatwoods exit of Interstate 79.
"Mainly, we try to stick to the more conservative for family-
friendly acts. We want clean, affordable shows for families."
The amphitheater has 1,700 stadium-style seats plus room for 300
in the grass.
During the first season in 2006, there were 15 shows with 10,000
tickets sold.
"During the second season, we had bigger artists with 10 shows,"
