A Delay installing CCTV cameras in a town centre has been
resolved, and troublemakers could soon be under the watchful eye of
'big brother'.
The pounds27,000 security clampdown for Crowle Market Place
stalled after cabling problems.
It was feared cash to pay for the equipment had been lost as
regulations from funding body Yorkshire Forward (YF) stated the
cameras had to be in place by March 2008.
But now the town council and YF have moved to quash speculation,
and have assured residents the"eye in the sky' could be up in the
next month.
Crowle town councillor Ron Stewart said: "CCTV cameras are not in
place yet because of the sheer mechanics involved with the BT
operation with joining ...
