Traditions.
They're integral parts of childhood, tangibly intangible gifts
from your parents that help make you who you are.
Traditions help you know you'll have fried chicken every Sunday,
or that the rule is to do your homework before dinner - or after
dinner, but before TV.
Traditions are photo albums and "Remember when" stories. And the
little voice in your head that is comforted by the thought that
"We've always done it this way."
Maybe you listen to Frank Sinatra or Nat King Cole, maybe you
love Elvis or James Taylor because that's the music your mother
loved.
Maybe you make egg salad with just mayonnaise and a little bit of
salt and not all those fussy ingredients other people use, ...
