Arequest from M.O. of Barrington for a Paula Deen recipe for
Vidalia onions that are cooked on hot coals or in an oven had to move
to the head of the request list while the sweet flavorful onions,
which are grown in southeast Georgia, are still available.
Deen is the popular cookbook author, TV cooking show host whose
newest show, "Paula's Party," premieres on the Food Network at 9 p.m.
Sept. 29. The owner/proprietor of The Lady & Sons restaurant in
Savannah, Ga., Deen knows all about Vidalias.
The secret to her recipe -- the one M.O. was missing -- is the
addition of a beef bouillon cube per onion; that's what produces the
