YOU might think that the one place in the world safe from the
storms of politics and political ambitions would be the church. You
might think that, of course, only if you had never involved yourself
in the life of the Body of Christ.
From the beginning, life in the church has involved struggle and
strife. From the beginning, good men and women have held differing
opinions regarding what we ought to do and what we ought to believe.
No less today than in the past. Since the day when Peter and Paul
struggled over the issue of circumcision, we have argued and debated
these issues.
In no small way did Dan Brown's book, "The Da Vinci Code,"
