Article: Taste draws 3.6 million: Good weather helps Robinson's No. 1 Ribs post its best sales

Charlie Robinson plans to sleep late this morning, and he certainly deserves the rest.

During the 10 days of Taste of Chicago, which closed Sunday, Robinson worked from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. overseeing his Robinson's No. 1 Ribs booth.

Robinson's usually alternates with Eli's Cheesecake as the top- selling booth at the Taste. And this was Robinson's best year, as it sold 89,000 pounds of ribs, rib tips and boneless ribs.

But after 24 years at the Taste, Robinson is giving serious thought to not coming back next year.

"I'm getting really tired," said Robinson, 60. But he added: "Robinson's is a landmark at Taste. A lot of people would hate to see us pull out."
