Q. I participated in a potluck recently where the planning
committee would not let people take home their leftovers and required
that everything be brought in disposable dishes so that all food
could be stored for a "leftovers lunch" the next day. The committee
also controlled the size and quantity of dessert portions in order to
ensure a supply of desserts for the next day. Is this the wave of the
future? What is the protocol for a potluck at work?
