ANYONE who comes for a job interview at ES magazine is scrutinised. How well do they know the magazine? Are they articulate, full of ideas, plucky under pressure? I have begun to fancy myself as an interview pro; perceptive, with rigorous standards. So I was horrified last week to bump into a former colleague at a party who reminded me of my first job interview at a glossy magazine when I was 22.
