It's graduation party time. Whether it's junior high, high school
or college - it's the season when parents let out a sigh of relief,
and guests wonder if the party food will be enough for dinner or
just a snack to tide them over.
Maybe it's me, but graduation parties today seem a little
different. My graduation parties were small affairs, usually just
the grandparents, a few aunts and uncles and a couple neighbors.
We'd come home from the school, happy the event was over and
starving for food. The adults would complain about sitting on the
uncomfortable bleachers. I would complain that my feet hurt and rip
off my high heels the second I walked in the house.
The men would take off their ties ...
