WOOSTER -- Scholarships were awarded, and the Wayne Center Ballet
directors, instructors and dancers were recognized for their
commitment to bringing quality ballet performances to the community,
during the annual awards event held May 16 at the Wayne Center for
the Arts.
Richard Swartz, Wayne Center for the Arts acting executive
director, welcomed guests. The directors, Tricia Jenkins Meyer,
Judith Miller and Brenda Schwinn, recognized and introduced the
company members from all six progressive levels of Classical Ballet.
Special recognition and a parting gift was given to each of the
graduating seniors, Emily Bartelheim, Mary Stoner and Amy Wicks.
