Article: Uncapped quartet named in de Springboks test squad

South Africa coach Peter de Villiers has named four uncapped players in his 30-man squad for the forthcoming Tests against Wales.

With regulars like Schalk Burger, Wikus van Heerden and Fourie du Preez sidelined through injury, De Villiers has opted for a number of players who have impressed during the Super 14 season.

Zimbabwe-born duo Tendai 'Beast' Mtawarira and Brian Mujati have been handed first call-ups, as has lock Andries Bekker, whose inclusion resulted in Johann Muller's omission.

Muller captained the Boks in last year's World Cup game against the United States and against the Barbarians, and was considered the natural back-up to Victor Matfield and Bakkies Botha.
